APPEAL BY TRAINER TIANG KIM CHOI (KC TIANG) AGAINST THE SEVERITY OF THE RM25,000/- FINE UNDER MRA RULE 152(5)(a) WHICH WAS IMPOSED BY THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS IN CONNECTION TO THE EVIDENCE SUBMITTED BY HIM AT AN INQUIRY ON MONDAY, 24TH MARCH 2008 AT THE PENANG TURF CLUB WHICH WAS PERTAINING TO THE RUNNING AND HANDLING OF RACEHORSE “WONDERFUL WIZARD” WHICH WAS TRAINED BY HIM AND RIDDEN BY APPRENTICE JOCKEY MOHD EIRWAN BIN KHALID (APP K EIRWAN) IN RACE 3 (R326), 1ST DAY, SATURDAY, 22ND MARCH 2008, PENANG TURF CLUB MARCH MEETING 2008

The Racing Stewards heard the above appeal on Monday, 30th June 2008 in the Inquiry Room of Penang Turf Club. After considering submissions and mitigation from Trainer Kc Tiang and submissions from the Chief Stipendiary Steward, the Racing Stewards allowed the appeal, and the fine was reduced to RM 15,000/-. The Racing Stewards also ordered the deposit of RM1000.00 to be refunded.
