Emergency acceptors, POLO TYCOON and HOSTWIN CHEVALIER were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.

BIG SUPER and CAPE LINCOLN which were up 18kgs and 17kgs in body weight respectively and CROWN DELIGHT which was down 19kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were all passed fit to start.

L’KEN (App YY Oon) was slow into stride.

Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of MR RIGHT, was warned against the practice of using his whip on his horse when it is clearly out of contention. He was advised that a repetition may lead to a penalty being imposed.

App S Rosmizan, the rider of ROBBEN and Jockey S Salee, the rider of VENUS DE MILO both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of ROBBEN and VENUS DE MILO revealed no obvious abnormality.

MR RIGHT which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Emergency acceptors, BM POWER and AMISTAD were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.

MODRIC, FIRST SUCCESS, CHINA CAPTAIN, SUNNY FIGHTER, MR ROCKWELL and

QUASAR which were up 28kgs, 21kgs, 16kgs, 20kgs, 19kgs and 37kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were all passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted Jockey K Eirwan to replace Jockey F Yap as the rider of HALLELUJAH when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

CALVADOS (Z Khairil) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

MR ROCKWELL (S Ruzaini) and AWATERE (KC Wong) were both slow into stride. TONGARIRO (App I Firdzriel) jumped away awkwardly, throwing its head up.

MODRIC (App S Rosmizan) was pulling hard and was difficult to settle in the early stages.

A post-race veterinary examination of QUASAR (App P Haris) revealed no obvious abnormality.

An Inquiry was opened into the running and handling of CALVADOS in this race.    After taking evidence from Jockey Z Khairil and Trainer S Hamilton, the rider and trainer of CALVADOS respectively and reviewing the films, Jockey Z Khairil pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(8) as read with 44(8)(a) in that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that CALVADOS was given full opportunity of winning or of obtaining the best possible placing.

The particulars of the charge were:-

• That having jumped on terms from barrier 1 at the 1400M on CALVADOS, he continually restrained his mount in the back straight;
• That at the 600M mark, he shifted out approximately 4 horses’ width when there was a clear run on the inside next to the rail behind AWATERE (KC Wong) thereby covering unnecessary

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into consideration the facts of this case, Jockey Z Khairil’s guilty plea, his riding record and points of mitigation. Jockey Z Khairil was disqualified for a period of one (1) year with effect from Sunday, 17^th October 2021 and to expire on Sunday, 16^th October 2022, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.50pm).

Emergency acceptors, BAGHDAD and PENANG MAN were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.

PENANG GENERAL, a course scratching as it was knocked off fore tendon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SHENG PROISIR, ANOTHER SHOW and PERFECT KIARA which were up 21kgs, 15kgs and 24kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were all passed fit to start.

Trainer T Asogan was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for VETRI NAMATHE (S Ruzaini).

Trainer S Hamilton was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to remove the blinker/pacifier on ROCK ARTIST within the stipulated time.

DAWNBREAKER (HS Gill) and DREAMS CAN BE REAL (S Muniandy) were both slow into stride.

At approximately the 250M mark, VETRI NAMATHE steadied when HANGRY (S Salee) rolled inwards briefly.

Emergency acceptor, HARLEY FLAME was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

BIG DALLAS and SHADOW SPEED, both course scratching, as they had sustained a nail prick off fore foot and was sore off fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

EL PRIMERO which was up 23kgs and D’GREAT EMINENCE which was down 20kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were both passed fit to start.

Jockey Z Khairil was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to make the carded weight on MOONSHINE MISTRESS. The Stewards permitted Jockey S Saddam to replace him as the rider of MOONSHINE MISTRESS.

The Stewards permitted Jockey R Rueven to replace Jockey HK Cheng as the rider of MISS MICHELLE when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

DESTINY KNIGHT (App YY Oon) was slow into stride and thereafter raced poorly trailing the field. DESTINY KNIGHT which raced poorly will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Approaching the 800M mark, ZAC ACE (AM Aizat) rolled out slightly, carrying SHEN LONG (S Muniandy) outwards who had to steady onto the heels of MOONSHINE MISTRESS.

An Inquiry was opened into the running and handling of LOUEY VELOCE in this race. After taking evidence from App R Ruwaidy, the rider of LOUEY VELOCE and Trainer C Robert, the trainer of LOUEY VELOCE and the Master of App R Ruwaidy, and reviewing the films, App R Ruwaidy was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(8) as read with 44(8)(a) in that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that LOUEY VELOCE was given full opportunity of winning or of obtaining the best possible placing.

The particulars of the charge were:-

• That after jumping well from barrier 1 at the 1200M mark, he restrained his mount getting it to a position worse than mid field which was contrary to his instructions;
• That from the 600M mark, he shifted off and away from the inside running rail when he had clear running to a position behind ZAC ACE (AM Aizat) thereby covering unnecessary ground;
• That upon entering the straight, he feigned the use of the whip on a number of

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into consideration the facts of this case, App R Ruwaidy’s riding record and points of mitigation.   App R Ruwaidy was disqualified for a period of one (1) year with effect from Sunday, 17^th October 2021 and to expire on Sunday, 16^th October 2022, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.13pm).

Emergency acceptor, CHIPS was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

AYAAN and GENERAL NIX, both course scratching as they had sustained cellulitis off fore cannon and a seedy toe near hind foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MAZANZE which was up 27kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

App CC Foo was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to make the carded weight on HEART OF COURAGE. The Stewards permitted App A Najib to replace him as the rider of HEART OF COURAGE.

The Stewards permitted Jockey S Muniandy to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of SACRED SURFER when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer. The Stewards also permitted Jockey HS Gill to replace Jockey HK Cheng as the rider of MAZANZE.

NO REGRETS (S Salee) and TILSWORTH MICK (S Saddam) were both slow into stride.

At approximately the 200M mark, NO REGRETS was inconvenienced momentarily when CASTLE OCEAN (App A Nazir) rolled inwards from the whip.

Jockey K Eirwan, the rider of SO ON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SO ON revealed no obvious abnormality

A post-race veterinary of MR DAVID ((App I Firdzriel) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of SHOWCASE THE GOLD was shown the video of his ride in the straight and was warned that in future, he must ride all his mounts in such a manner so as to leave no room for query.

Emergency acceptors, ACE’S WILD, ELUSIVE EMPEROR and TUN O’REILLY were all withdrawn due to a capacity field.

ALCATRAZ, CENTURY SPEED and CRACKING TOTTIE which were up 19kgs, 28kgs and 21kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were all passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted Jockey S Saddam to replace Jockey HK Cheng as the rider of PULAU PINANG, and Jockey R Rueven to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of YOGI.

OTTAWA (App A Nazir) was slow into stride.

Passing the 800M mark, TILSWORTH JACOBI (S Muniandy) steadied momentarily off the heels of D’GREAT COMMAND (AM Aizat) when crowded.

MR HOPKINS and WHY NOT, both course scratching as they were sore near fore foot and had sustained a nail prick near fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

COME ON JENNEY which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted Jockey R Rueven to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of HELIOSPHERE, and Jockey S Saddam to replace Jockey HK Cheng as the rider of FLYING BABY.

FLYING BABY was slow into stride.

App I Firdzriel, the rider of NOVA STRIKE, was warned against the practice of using his whip when his horse is out of contention.

Jockey R Rueven, the rider of HELIOSPHERE and App I Firdzriel, the rider of NOVA STRIKE, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of HELIOSPHERE revealed no obvious abnormalty and NOVA STRIKE returned, having cast its off fore plate.

OVERLORD, a course scratching as it was sore off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

ELITE ROCKET and SECKILL, both course scratching as they had sustained cellulitis off fore fetlock and a stone bruise off hind, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

GEB WARRIOR which was down 17kgs in body weight and COME ON JIMMY and GOLDEN SHOW which were up 18kgs and 16kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were all passed fit to start.

Trainer CC Ooi was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for WELL DESERVED (App I Firdzriel).

COME ON JIMMY (App P Haris) jumped away awkwardly.

CITY KNIGHT (App CC Foo) had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight and brushed GEB WARRIOR (KC Wong) on a number of occasions.

Passing the 900M mark, GOLDEN SHOW (S Ruzaini) was awkward when racing tight on the inside of CASTLE CHOICE (S Muniandy).

GOLDEN SHOW was inconvenienced in the later stages of the race on 2 occasions when BATTLESTAR (App AR Aiman) rolled inwards slightly.

Emergency acceptor, GOLDEN STATES was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

JUNIOR and WONOSOBO which were up 16kgs and 18kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were both passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted App YY Oon to replace Jockey HK Cheng as the rider of MAKE U FAMOUS when there was no suitable jockey available.

FUNKADELIC (App S Rosmizan) brushed HEART FEELING (HS Gill) on jumping. TILSWORTH JOSHI (R Rueven), LIM’S KEYWAY (App R Ruwaidy) and MAKE U

FAMOUS brushed after the start.

At approximately the 200M mark, DROUGHT (App CC Foo) clipped the heels of JUNIOR (App P Haris) which was giving ground.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MA BAO BAO (KC Wong) bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of TILSWORTH JOSHI revealed no obvious abnormality.

Emergency acceptors, DARCI SUPER and UP UP GOOD were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
