APIS which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
At about the 1100M-mark, THE BOSS (HK Cheng) which was racing keenly, had to be steadied off the heels of ROCKETSHIP (Z Khairil).
At approximately the 700M-mark, THE BOSS had to be steadied again when it ran up to the heels of ROCKETSHIP.
APIS (R Narendran) and ROCKETSHIP brushed over the concluding stages.
A post-race veterinary examination of THE BOSS revealed no obvious abnormality.

Passing the 200M-mark, VETRI (HK Cheng) shifted out from the whip and had to be straightened.
At about the 100M-mark, the whip of Jockey HK Cheng (VETRI) was accidentally struck off by Jockey Z Khairil (DANCING TYCOON).
