Race Results 20 November 2021

RACE 1 (R929) CLASS  5(A) – 1600M

AMISTAD which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Shortly after the start, AMISTAD (K Eirwan) shifted inwards, resulting in interference to GOLDEN SHOW (S Ruzaini) which clipped its heels and stumbled.   At a subsequent Inquiry, Jockey K Eirwan, the rider of AMISTAD pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) and was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days with effect from Monday, 22^nd November 2021 and to expire on 28^th November 2021, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (2.05pm).

RACE 2 (R930) CLASS  5(B)  – 1600M     

 Jockey F Yap was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to  make the carded weight on L’KEN.   The Stewards permitted Jockey L De Souza to replace him as the rider of L’KEN.   

CAPE LINCOLN (S Ruzaini) and SUCCESS STREET (App I Firdzriel) came together on jumping.

Approaching the crossing at the 1500M, TIN’S MACHINE shied, dislodging its rider, Jockey AK Lim.  In this incident, RELIC WARRIOR (HK Cheng), CAPE LINCOLN and CROWN DELIGHT (App WW Cheah) suffered varying degrees of interference.   

RAISE ME UP (SS Vanan) shifted away from the whip, having to be straightened in the straight.

 A veterinary examination was requested on SUCCESS STREET which revealed no obvious abnormality. 

WEST NORTH HILL (App YY Oon) which raced poorly will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

 Jockey AK Lim was exempted from weighing in.  Subsequently Jockey AK Lim was stood down by the Club Medical Officer from his engagement for the day.

RACE 3 (R931) CLASS 3 – 1400M

 BROTHER WIND and MULTIBLUE SHARK, both course scratching as they had sustained near fore tendonitis and bruised right hock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

 THUNDER DRAGON which was up 28kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Jockey I Amirul was fined RM1,000/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to comply with PNTC Covid-19 SOPs in that on 20^th November 2021, he entered the Club premises without providing a clear Covid-19 test as required.   Jockey I Amirul was instructed to leave the Club premises immediately.  The Stewards permitted Jockey F Yap to replace him as the rider of ANDADO.

The Stewards permitted Jockey HK Cheng to replace Jockey AK Lim as the rider of GODFATHERS.

FLYING BABY (App P Haris) was slow into stride.

Approaching the 400M mark, the right side stirrup bar on the saddle of  FLYING BABY broke, resulting in App P Haris being dislodged.  He was exempted from weighing in.  App P Haris was subsequently examined by the Club Medical Officer who certified him fit to continue riding for the remainder of the day.

RACE 4 (R932) CLASS 4(B) – 1300M

EASY SOUTH EAST, ZAC ACE and LIM’S TORPEDO, all course scratching as they had sustained a sore back, nail prick near hind and lacerated right hip respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

BEIJING STAR (C Goon) jumped awkwardly.

SOMAR (S Ruzaini), TRUDY (App S Rosmizan), PURE SPARK (HS Gill) and D’GREAT EMINENCE (AM Aizat) were tight and brushed entering the home straight.

BANGKOK BOY (App P Haris) switched out passing the 500M mark.

BEIJING STAR was held momentarily at about the 350M mark.

RACE 5 (R933) CLASS 4(B) – 1300M

 MISE EN GARDE and TILSWORTH MICK, both course scratching as they had sustained hematoma right thigh and lacerated left hip respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

The Stewards permitted Jockey SS Vanan to replace Jockey AK Lim as the rider of LUKE MAN.

GUNFORHIRE (App S Rosmizan), D’GREAT DUCHESS (AM Aizat) and VIJETA (App R Narendran were all slow into stride.

The Stewards opened an Inquiry into the running and handling of KRATOS (App P Haris).  The Inquiry was adjourned to Sunday, 21^st November 2021. 

A post-race veterinary examination of SUNNY STAR (R Rueven) revealed no obvious abnormality.  GUNFORHIRE (App S Rosmizan) returned having cast its near hind plate.

RACE 6 (R934) OPEN MAIDEN – 1300M  [WEIGHT-FOR-AGE]

 SONG RIVER which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

 The Stewards permitted Jockey Y Aify to replace Jockey AK Lim as the rider of MAGNITUDE.

SONG RIVER (S Saddam) damaged barrier 3.  As a result, the Official Starter was unable to use barrier 3 and adjusted the barriers accordingly. 

JOEY (S Salee) jumped awkwardly outwards. 

App P Haris, the rider of SIMBA was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a)   for dropping his whip at about the 450M.

Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SHEN LONG reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of SHEN LONG revealed no obvious abnormality.  The gelding which raced poorly will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey R Rueven, the rider of PENANG GENERAL, reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed that PENANG GENERAL returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R935) CLASS 5(B) – 1200M

Emergency acceptors, UP UP GOOD and MARTELLO were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.

FRANKLY MY DEAR and OVERLORD which were down 22kgs and up 15kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were  checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

VETRI NAMATHE (App R Narendran) and PENNSYLVANIA (App I Firdzriel) jumped awkwardly.  PENNSYLVANIA stumbled on jumping.

GOLDEN STATES (SS Vanan) was obliged to race wide on the turn.

The whip of Jockey S Saddam (FRANKLY MY DEAR) broke during the running of the race.

RACE 8 (R936) CLASS 5(B) – 1200M

Emergency acceptor, DARCI SUPER was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

ELITE ROCKET, a course scratching as it had sustained cellulitis off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

The Stewards permitted Jockey S Ruzaini to replace Jockey AK Lim as the rider of ANOTHER SHOW.

MR DREYFUSS (App P Haris) was slow into stride.

ROBBEN (App S Rosmizan) jumped awkwardly inwards and PENANG MAN (C Goon) jumped awkwardly outwards, inconveniencing MY MONEY (S Salee).

Jockey S Salee, the rider of MY MONEY, reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of MY MONEY revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey HS Gill, the rider of NEVERUNCONDITIONAL, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises.  A post-race veterinary examination of NEVERUNCONDITIONAL revealed that the gelding returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
