Race Results 27 December 2020

AMISTAD which was up 20kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

SHREDDER (App R Narendran) jumped away awkwardly.

AMISTAD (SS Vanan) had to steady passing the 1400M when over-racing.

A post-race veterinary examination of ALWRICH (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of GOLDEN EXPLORER (R Rueven) at 1.06 pm. acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was sore near hind fetlock after being kicked at the saddling yard.  GOLDEN EXPLORER will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

PENANG BANK (App CT Lee) was slow to begin.

A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN COIN (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

POLO TYCOON and RELIC WARRIOR which were up 25kgs and 26kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and both were passed fit to start.

Acting on veterinary advice that TILSWORTH JOSHI (R Rueven) was sore off fore, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.45 pm.  TILSWORTH JOSHI will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MR RIGHT (App R Ruwaidy) jumped away awkwardly.

Passing the 400M, the blinker/pacifier on SUPREME SASSO (App R Narendran) became undone and shifted from its normal position.

 The State of Track was upgraded to “Good” after the running of this race.

GENERAL TYCOON, a course scratching as it had sustained a swollen off fore tendon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MBAPPE (S Salee) put its head down when the start was effected and was slow to begin.                                      

App S Rosmizan, the rider of HARLEY FLAME and Jockey S Anandan, the rider of LUKE MAN, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of HARLEY FLAME revealed no obvious abnormality.  LUKE MAN returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

FORSA ECLIPSE and ACE’S WILD, both course scratching as they were sore near fore fetlock and had a seedy toe near fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

ANONYMOUS (S Anandan) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

FIERY SHINZO (App I Firdzriel) jumped away awkwardly.

ANONYMOUS was eased down from the 800M and pulled up at the 600M.  Jockey S Anandan was exempted from weighing in.  A post-race veterinary examination of ANONYMOUS revealed that the gelding sustained a ruptured off fore tendon and was humanely euthanized.

TRUDY (App S Rosmizan) laid out racing to the 300M and bumped SUNNY STAR (App S Saddam).

GENERAL NIX and BAGHDAD, both course scratching as they had sustained a nail prick near fore foot and had skin allergy respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

CHINA CAPTAIN (App R Ruwaidy) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

CHINA CAPTAIN jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

LEESTOWN EXPRESS (App S Rosmizan) was slow to begin.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that YELLOW JADE HORSE (Z Khairil) sustained a fractured near fore cannon and was humanely euthanized.  Jockey Z Khairil was exempted from weighing in.

A post-race veterinary examination of CHINA CAPTAIN revealed no obvious abnormality.

App R Ruwaidy, the rider of CHINA CAPTAIN, was questioned in the presence of his Employing Trainer C Robert into his use of the whip in the straight, shown the vision of the incident and advised that he must improve his whip use. 

ALCATRAZ (App YY Oon) was slow into stride.

SECRET AGENT (App A Najib) lost its position racing to the 800M when SACRED GALAXY (App S Rosmizan) rolled in.  As a consequence, WHY NOT (CK Tan) was checked to avoid the heels of SECRET AGENT and lost its position.

WHY NOT had to steady passing the 100M when PULAU PINANG (App R Narendran) shifted out and at the same time ARAGORN (App CT Lee) laid in. 

Emergency acceptor, D’GREAT CHANCE was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

UNCHAINED MELODY which was up 21kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

UNCHAINED MELODY (App A Azizi) stood and refused to jump with the field.  The mare will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

BLUE DANUBE (R Rueven) was slow to begin.

The saddle on KRATOS (HK Cheng) slipped sideways during the running of the race.

A post-race veterinary examination of UNCHAINED MELODY revealed no obvious abnormality.

Racing to the 600M, App AR Aiman, the rider of LEEDSTHEWAY was dislodged.   The following horses, YULONG HONOR (App P Haris), BM POWER (HK Cheng), CAPE LINCOLN (R Rueven) and SILVER SIXTYSIX (App R Ruwaidy) had to take evasive action to avoid the fallen rider.  App AR Aiman was exempted from weighing in.

 A post-race veterinary examination of LEEDSTHEWAY revealed no obvious abnormality.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SUNTZU, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that racing to the 600M, he shifted inwards when insufficiently clear of LEEDSTHEWAY (App AR Aiman) resulting in the gelding clipping its heels and dislodged its rider.  When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey AM Aizat’s guilty plea, his riding record and mitigating factor.  Jockey AM Aizat  was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days.  Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of Jockey AM Aizat’s suspension to take effect from Monday, 4^th January 2021 and to expire on Sunday, 10^th January 2021, both days inclusive.   He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.30pm).
