ANOTHER SHOW which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Emergency acceptor, PENANG BANK was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

Trainer T Asogan was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for ANOTHER SHOW (Z Khairil).

BABEL (App A Nazir) was slow to begin.

PENANG GENERAL (S Saddam) brushed the running rail at the 700M, became unbalanced and lost ground.

App S Rosmizan, the rider of MBAPPE, reported that his mount was not striding out freely.  A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN EXPLORER (App I Firdzriel) revealed no abnormality.

HALLELUJAH (App P Haris) cast its near hind plate at the parade ring and had to be re-shod.  The mare was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barrier and was passed fit to race.

HALLELUJAH which stood and was very slow to begin will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

HOOGA NET (App CC Foo) had to check shortly after the start when AWATERE (AM Aizat) shifted in and at the same time REWARDING SMILE (I Amirul) shifted out.

CAPE LINCOLN (S Ruzaini) and BIG SUPER (App R Ruwaidy) brushed racing to the 800M and as a result, both horses had to be steadied.

SUNNY FIGHTER (F Yap) and HOOGA NET raced wide from about the 800M until entering the straight.  

App AR Aiman, the rider of GOLDEN STATES, had his whip struck off his hand at the 700M.

Emergency acceptors, CRACKING TOTTIE, TILSWORTH JACOBI and ELUSIVE EMPEROR were all withdrawn due to a capacity field.

MR DUJARDIN which was up 22kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

TUN O’REILLY (App AR Aiman) and PULAU PINANG (SS Vanan) both jumped away awkwardly.

PULAU PINANG shifted out shortly after the start, resulting in TUN O’REILLY having to be steadied.

TUN O’REILLY shifted out over the final 200M and finished the race wide on the track.

A post-race veterinary examination of ONE FORCE (F Yap) revealed no abnormality.

 ONE FORCE and CASTLE OCEAN (App CC Foo) which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Acting on veterinary advice that MR HOPKINS (S Saddam) was suffering from a seedy toe to its near fore foot, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 12.40pm.  MR HOPKINS will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SUPER WINNER (App P Haris) was slow into stride.

ROYAL RULER (S Salee) had to check to avoid the heels of THE DODGER (CK Tan) racing to the 800M when THE DODGER was tightened for galloping room and became unbalanced when KERAUNO (App S Rosmizan) which was racing tight on the inside of LAUS DEO   (AM Aizat) rolled in.  App S Rosmizan, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, S Hamilton, was shown the vision of the incident and was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.

The State of Track was upgraded to “Yielding” after the running of this race.

BRISTOL DIAMOND (App S Hafis) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

A post-race veterinary examination of GEORGETOWN (K Eirwan) revealed no abnormality.

The gelding which raced poorly will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

SNEAKY GETAWAY (App A Nazir) broke through the barrier and after being re-captured, was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 4.23pm.  The mare will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MAESTRO ECLIPSE (K Eirwan) and GENERAL NIX (Z Khairil) revealed no obvious abnormality.  Both geldings which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey F Yap, the rider of MAGNOLIA BLVD which finished in the 8^th placing, weighed in to scale 1.8 kg below the weight he had weighed out.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today, evidence was taken from the Clerks of Scale, Trainer F Maynard and Jockey F Yap, the trainer and rider of MAGNOLIA BLVD respectively.  Jockey F Yap was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 121(2) in that as the rider of MAGNOLIA BLVD, he had weighed in to scale 1.8kg below the weight he had weighed out. 

When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account the circumstances of the matter, Jockey F Yap’s mitigating factors and his riding record.  Jockey F Yap was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from Monday, 10^th May 2021 and to expire on Friday, 9^th July 2021, both days inclusive.  He was advised of his Right of Appeal (5.25pm). 

In addition, MAGNOLIA BLVD which finished in the 8^th placing, was disqualified and the placing was amended accordingly.  

MODRIC, a course scratching as it was sore near fore foot – nail prick, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

The Stewards permitted Jockey AM Aizat to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
